Preservation Defense Fund

In order to preserve this critical American historical site (Maxwell Field) from the back hoes and bulldozers that will soon descend upon the field Princeton Battlefield Society (PBS) requires your support.  PBS has been forced to engage counsel and numerous experts including historians, archaeologists, wetlands experts and civil engineers to present its case to the Princeton Regional Planning Board. This has been our most costly initiative in recent years. PBS is proceeding with a number of legal actions to further preserve the threatened land. We have filed a complaint with the Chancery Court.   We are also filing as an Objector with the Delaware & Raritan Canal Commission. We will also be filing an appeal once the Planning Board's Findings of Fact have been adopted.  In addition, we are proceeding with a complaint in Federal Court under the Clean Water Act.  And finally, we are exploring other additional steps that we may be able to take.  Together we can stop the protect the land threatened by the Institute for Advanced Study!  Please join  us and support our Preservation Actions today with a donation!
